I am a literacy consultant who has spent over a decade working with teachers to improve the teaching of writing in their classrooms. While I work with teachers and students in grade K-6, I'm a former fourth and fifth-grade teacher so I have a passion for working with upper elementary students.

I'm the author of Craft Moves (Stenhouse Publishers, 2016) and the co-author of Jump Into Writing (Zaner-Bloser, 2021), Welcome to Writing Workshop (Stenhouse Publishers, 2019), and Day By Day (Stenhouse, 2010).

  1. Song on to this poem? I’m not sure I know what you mean. I didn’t embed music in here. Maybe you scrolled over the slide show that had the music and it’s playing. I’m not sure…

  2. Stacey,
Did you post a Link to share day 6? I don’t see it.
I began with I remember, inspired by your prompt and moved somewhere else, but it was cool to have the option as I read through yours and remember…

  3. I used the link to create an I Remember poem, just to see if it has applications for the classroom. Not sure, but it was interesting. It might make for a good End of Year poem.

Here is the link to my I Remember poem:

  4. I LOVE the memories!!! I think that first graders can write I remember poems too…I might do that one next week with them!
