My mother-in-law, who is a Literacy Coach, emailed me this evening to inform me about a resource called Sketchcast. I went online and checked it out tonight to start thinking of ways I could use it in my classroom. I thought of vocabulary instruction immediately, which is how I came up with this.
Have you used Sketchcast? If so, please leave a comment and let me know how you use it yourself or in the classroom. THANKS!
My mother-in-law suggested using it in the following ways:
I’m going to have our students use it to sketch what they are envisioning while reading. They can also use it to sketch vocabulary words. It can be used to sketch out their thinking of math problems as well.
